Abstract
The term of "difference of qiraat" is one of the most important topics of Quranic sciences that Quranic scholars as well as commentators have presented different views on its types and selection of correct versions and each commentator uses his own basics to select correct and accepted version of different types of recitations in his interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qur'an. The late Tayyeb is one of the contemporary Shiite commentators who has commented on the difference of qiraat in the interpretation of "Atyab al-Bayan".
The purpose of this research is to explain the viewpoint of the interpreter in relation to the difference among the recitations, therefore to obtain the viewpoint of this interpreter regarding the difference among the recitations and the method used in selecting the correct one. The findings of the research show that the late Tayyeb in his interpretation has referred to the difference of qiraat such as differences in the Iʿrāb, differences in letters, differences in names, differences in extra or eliminated words, and the correct recitation due to him is the one associated with to the black scripture which means the recitation of Hafs narrated from Aessim. His reason for this view is tawatur of this version is that there is a consensus on reciting according to the scripture of the Quran, and that there is no evidence of the validity of the other recitated versions. He has used the Quranic verses through emphasizing on the outward meaning of the Qur'an, the meaning of vocabulary in the verse, and syntactic rules to prove the correctness of the recitation according to the black scripture and to reject the other versions.
