Abstract
Nasr Hamed Abu Zaid, a religious scholar attributed to the neo-Mu'tazilite intellectual movement believing in the historicity of the Qur'an, has provided evidence to substantiate his claim and about the Quranic sciences, he has introduced the difference of recitations as a proof to human intervention - at least in some of the the Qur'anicterms - and its distortion. He finally concludes the invalidity of some of the Qur'anic commands.
This article is a descriptive-analytic study aimed at examining Abu Zayd's claim, based on Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani's views, by answering questions such as the difference between the Qur'an and the Qur'anic readings and the implications of the Qur'anic narrations on the difference between the Qur'anic recitations, the relation between narations of the Seven Letters and Seven Qiraat and the relation between the difference of qiraat and distortion or the Quran as being human-made. This paper aimes to find the claim of divinity and the transcendentality of the revelatoray text of the Qur'an is based on the rational and transmissible arguments, as well as the difference among the Qur'an's recitators in theirway of reading has nothing to do with the Quranic text and its distortion. In addition, the extraordinary role played by religious scholars and elders at all times in raising awareness and responding to doubts be well known.
