In addition to their usages in tajweed and reciting the Holy Quran, they play a significant role in the correct understanding of divine verses. The present study seeks to adopt a descriptive-analytical method to understand the role of the signs of waqf (stop) in writing punctuations in Surah Yasin, which is a Meccan surah and contains various teachings such as the three religious principles of Islam, namely monotheism, resurrection and prophecy, to examine and analyze them on the understanding the Holy Quran.
