Abstract
In the case of the succession (tawatur) of the different recitaions of the Quran, the Imamiyyah is based on the exclusiveness of the Qur'anic recitations in the recitation of Hafs, while the popular Sunni commentary on the consensus of the all Qur'anic recitaions. Meanwhile achieving the necessary condition of the succession of narrating hadith due to the authenticity of the recitation of the Qur'an from the Prophet (p.b.u.h) is impossible unless for one of them; because no doubt, as Imam Sadeq (a.s) said, every verse of the Holy Quran has not been revealed to the Prophet more than once, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) read the verses in the same way to the people and the companions; therefore the claim of succession (tawatur) of all seven recitations faces a serious question.
In addition, by examining the narrators of the Hafs’s document, it is clear that the popularity of the Islamic world in this way of reading and undermining other ijtihadic (individual reasosoning) recitations is rooted in the desire of the believers to preserve the divine revelation with any kind of interference based on the emphasis of the Qur'an and the Islamic legal standards. According to the preferred view in this article, the only narration that can be reliably attributed to the Massanger of God (p.b.u.h) is the one narrated by Hafs from Aasim.
