The Studies of Quran Reading (SQR) journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly engagement with the Quran, the central text of Islam, by fostering rigorous research and critical inquiry into its reading, interpretation, and influence. As a peer-reviewed academic platform, SQR welcomes contributions that reflect the multifaceted nature of Quranic studies, encompassing traditional and contemporary perspectives, and embracing a diversity of methodological approaches. SQR aims to serve as a nexus for scholars exploring the Quran through philological, historical, literary, and interdisciplinary lenses. The journal encourages submissions that address the linguistic and stylistic dimensions of the Quranic text, its reception and interpretation across different historical periods, and its enduring impact on theology, law, literature, and society. In line with the evolving landscape of Quranic scholarship, SQR is particularly interested in innovative studies that engage with the Quran as a sacred scripture, a literary masterpiece, and a living cultural phenomenon. By providing a forum for original research, analytical reviews, and critical discussions, SQR seeks to enrich the academic discourse on Quranic reading and interpretation. The journal is committed to promoting diversity, scholarly rigor, and open dialogue among researchers from various backgrounds, thus contributing to the ongoing development of Quranic studies as a dynamic and inclusive field.
